Bonnie Sue Friedl Friel

Bonnie Sue Friel, 72, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2025.

Born on October 27, 1952, to the late Harry and Wilma Friedl, Bonnie dedicated 50 years of her life to a career in retail, retiring in 2015.

An avid reader with her own mini-library at home, Bonnie found her greatest joy in the simple, beautiful things in life. She adored feeding and watching hummingbirds, was a talented cook, and cherished her time vacationing at the beach. As she often said, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.” Bonnie's life was full of such moments, especially those spent with her beloved family.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Robert "Bob" Friel; her two daughters and their spouses, Carrie Stephens (Robbie) and Holly Friel (Dennis); her three grandchildren and their spouses, Chelsea Kelly (Brent), Courtney Harper (Ian), and Dillian Kerrick; and four great-grandchildren, Beckett and Bridgette Kelly and Presley and Mattox Harper.
