Bonnie Ann Catalano

Bonnie Ann Catalano, born October 22, 1954, in Rochester, New York, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on August 29, 2026.

Bonnie was the beloved wife of Charlie Peter Catalano, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and the kind of person who never met a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie; her children, Frank Petrosino and his wife, Tasha; Charlie Catalano Jr. and his wife, Amber; Jamie Catalano and his wife, Amber; and her daughter, Kelly Mariano and her husband, Matt.

More than anything, Bonnie loved her family. But if you knew Bonnie, you knew there was one subject she could talk about forever-her grandchildren. She was the incredibly proud grandmother of Taylor, Phoenix, and Axl; Cadence and Cyler; Gannon, Brady, and Sadie; and Brooks and Caleb. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life. She loved watching them grow, hearing about their lives, and telling anyone willing to listen just how wonderful they were. And Bonnie could always find someone willing to listen.

She never met a stranger. Bonnie had a special gift for making conversation with anyone, anywhere. A quick hello could easily turn into a long conversation, and before long, you probably knew all about her family and especially her grandkids. Her outgoing personality, warm heart, and ability to connect with people made her unforgettable.

Bonnie also found happiness in the little things. She loved Mickey Mouse, being crafty, working on puzzles, and doing what she did best-sorting, organizing, and putting things exactly where they belonged. She enjoyed keeping busy and had a way of finding purpose and joy in even the simplest things.

Life was not always easy for Bonnie. She faced many health challenges throughout the years, challenges that would have worn down many people. But Bonnie was tough. She pushed through. She kept fighting. And she did it because her family meant everything to her. Her strength was remarkable, not because she never struggled, but because no matter how difficult things became, she continued to show up and fight for the people she loved.

Bonnie leaves behind so much more than memories. She leaves behind stories, laughter, conversations, lessons, and a family who will forever carry pieces of her with them. There will be an empty space where her voice once filled the room, where her stories were told, and where her conversations about her grandchildren could go on and on. But the love she gave so freely will never leave.

She was a loving wife. A devoted mother. A fiercely proud grandmother. A fighter. A friend to anyone she met.

And while her family will miss her more than words could ever express, they can take comfort in knowing that Bonnie's love, her strength, her laughter, and her unforgettable personality will live on through every one of them.
