Bobby Clyde Pressley Jr., 83, of Rockwell, peacefully passed away on July 11, 2025.
Born on December 4, 1941, in North Carolina, Bobby was the beloved son of the late Bobby Clyde Pressley Sr. Beula Faye Pressley. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Louise Howard Pressley, his son Robert Pressley, and his grandson Daniel James Pressley.
Bobby graduated from Walter Bickett High School in Monroe in 1960. He proudly served in the United States Army and the North Carolina Army National Guard. His professional career included 15 years as an Installation Supervisor at Western Electric, followed by 16 years as an Equipment Design Engineer for Southern Bell/Bell South. Bobby had a zest for life and enjoyed pursuits such as hunting, fishing, softball, and tennis. He dedicated 48 years as an Officer of Blackjack Hunt Club, fostering camaraderie and passion for the outdoors.
He leaves behind his daughters, Rhonda Sue Wilbanks of Charlotte, NC, and Deborah Faye Pressley, as well as his brother, Gene W. Pressley of Panama City, Florida. Bobby is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, J.E. (Trey) Wilbanks III, Elizabeth Wilbanks, Justin Cook, Josh Silva, and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service in honor of Bobby will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, officiated by Pastor Cliff Wall.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cold Springs United Methodist Church, located at 2550 Cold Springs Rd., Concord, NC 28025.
