Bobby Jefferson Massey

Bobby Jefferson Massey, 91, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Kannapolis Health and Rehabilitation in Kannapolis, NC.

Mr. Massey was born August 8, 1934, in Yanceyville, North Carolina to the late Calvin Clarence Massey, Sr. and the late Ruby Pearl Reagan Massey. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Calvin Clarence Massey, Jr., Thomas Wayne Massey, Lynwood Carson Massey, Billy Darryl Massey and Rickey Eugene Massey; two sisters, Doris Jean Bowman and Janice Dameron.

Lover of JESUS, family, Eastway Church of God, Brother Brasfield, clothing that screams JESUS, German Shepherds, anything made in Germany, folding green, vanilla milkshakes (as thick as they can make them), coconut cream pie, German chocolate cake, already cooked pizza, black powder guns and log cabins.

A faithful member of Eastway Church of God, Bobby served as usher, served communion and was made an Honorary Member of the church pastors and council.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Eastway Church of God-Charlotte, NC. Visitation from 12:00 - 12:30, service at 1:00 pm. The service will be officiated by Pastor Kelly Shope and Pastor Dan Carter.

Bobby is survived by sisters, Gwendolyn Teer of Concord, NC and Nancy Willis of Yanceyvilled, NC. Debra Bradshaw (Eddie) of Snow Camp, NC, Kathy Massey of Burlington, NC, Jeanette Wright (Jeff) of Eden, NC and Sister-in-law, Mary Massey. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
