Bobby Clay

Bobby Ray "Pop" Clay, 65, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013. Mr. Clay was born January 29, 1948 in Cabarrus County to the late Raymond Monroe Clay and Bessie Stephens Clay. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Clay Stegall. "Pop" loved life and lived it to the fullest. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 2:30 until 4 pm. Funeral services will follow at 4 pm, with Rev. Buck Canup officiating. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his son, Brian Clay and wife Mary of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Harry Clay of Concord; sister, Betty Clay Lambert and husband Delmer Lambert of Concord; granddaughter, Briana Erin Clay; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Clay family.
