Billy Kepley Sr.

Billy Martin Kepley, Sr., 89, of Rockwell, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at home with family by his side.

Billy was born May 30, 1933, in Charlotte to the late Marshall Vaughn Kepley, Sr., and the late Mamie Jean Tarlton Kepley.  He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Wilma Elizabeth Dulin Kepley; daughter, Elizabeth Kepley Thomas; 7 siblings; and great-grandson, Parker Munn.

Billy enjoyed being outside and taking trips to the beach and to the mountains.  He also loved racing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family, going to Church of God of Prophecy in Concord, and Coltrane LIFE Center.  He'll be remembered as a loving husband, dad, Paw (Pop Pop, Paw Paw) and brother.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, officiated by Rev. Jerry Sands.  Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.

Survivors include daughter, Renee Kepley Gainey and husband, Andy, of Kannapolis; son, Billy Martin Kepley, Jr. of Rockwell; son, David Allen Kepley and wife, Denise, of Concord; son, Jeffrey Lee Kepley and wife, Crystal, of Rockwell; grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Faith, Jessica, Dakota, Brittany, Chelsey, Cameron, Justin, and Wesley; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Drye of Granite Quarry and Zella Lesley and husband, Melvin, of Gold Hill; brothers, Tom Kepley of China Grove and Sammy Kepley and wife, Betty, of Midland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
