Billy Huneycutt

Billy Lee Huneycutt, 87 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mr. Huneycutt was born October 7, 1927 in Stanly County to the late Zeb Dee Huneycutt and Ona Furr Huneycutt.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, George Hoyle Huneycutt, Harold Huneycutt, and Hubert Huneycutt; sisters, Ilene Harwood and Mildred Love.

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 12 until 1 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm in the chapel, officiated by Elder Ervin Hatley. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Velma Barnes Huneycutt of Oakboro; sons, Dennis Huneycutt of Locust and Ricky Huneycutt of Oakboro; sister, Evelyn Smith of Concord; and two grandsons, Billy and Charlie Huneycutt.

A veteran of the US Navy, Billy was retired from Westinghouse Turbine Plant in Charlotte.
