Betty Jane Hinson, 80, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.
Betty was born September 3, 1943 in North Carolina to the late Hubert Luther and the late Ada Luther.
She was also preceded in death by husband Bobby Joe Hinson; daughter, Elizabeth Purkey; granddaughter, Stephanie Amanda Efird; sisters, Wanda Petty, Sue Foster, Agnes Vanhoy, and Butch Paige.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 35235 Pickler Road, Albemarle, NC, officiated by Pastor Kevin Munson.
(Betty was a wonderful mother, grandma, sister, wife, and friend to all who knew her. She was loving, kind, loyal and a fierce woman all wrapped in a feisty petite body! She enjoyed fishing and spending time on the boat with her beloved husband, Bobby and her family. She loved Jesus with all of her heart. Her greatest desire and prayer was that all of her family would know Jesus as their personal savior and spend eternity in Heaven with she and Bobby. Her smile and spunk will always be remembered and her sweet spirit will always live on without her presence.
Survivors include daughter, Robin (Michael) Basinger, Tammy (Chris) Lefler; granddaughters, Robin Michelle Hurlocker, Bobbie (Gary Cress) Efird, Krystal Jane Dinnage; grandsons, Bobby Goodnight, Jonathan Dinnage, Matthew Dinnage, Joshua Lefler, Jeremy Lefler and Marshal Lefler; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, Chevelle Stegall and sister, Pearlie Talbert.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Hinson family.
