Betty Brooks

Betty Jo Brooks, 85 years of age, of Concord, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at The Brian Center in Concord.

Betty Jo was born September 27, 1929 in North Carolina to the late Lemuel Francis Purser and the late Ella Ophelia Purser. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Bunyan Brooks, Sr.

A private graveside service was held on Sunday, June 13, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, officiated by Rev. Mark McClamrock.

Survivors include son, John Brooks (Tawana) of Concord, daughters, Betsy Walker of Charlotte and Sue Honeycutt of Charlotte; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Concord Associate Reform Church, 177 Union Street N, Concord, NC 28025.
