Becky Helms Smith, 72 years of age, of Concord went to be with Jesus and her mother on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at her residence.
Becky was born March 31, 1942 in Union County NC to the late George and Flonnie Helms.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at New Life Church of Jesus Christ. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 1:00 pm at New Life Church of Jesus Christ in Concord, 4160 Zion Church Road, officiated by Rev. Lawson Whitson. Burial will follow at the Lakeland Memorial Park at 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe.
Survivors include son Phillip (Melissa) Helms of Tennessee, daughter Tinja (Chris) Barber of Locust, daughter Wendy Lamb of Locust, son Patrick (Jenna) S. Smith of Concord and son Paul J. Smith of Concord, Nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Four sisters and one brother and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved all her family members. Becky was a member of New Life Church of Jesus Christ and enjoyed taking walks in nature and gardening. She will be dearly missed.
