Beatrice Blackwelder

Beatrice Mildred Blackwelder, 91, of Stanfield, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Beatrice was born January 13, 1935 in North Carolina to the late Fred Lee Love, Sr. and the late Dallie Love.

She was also preceded in death by husband, Fred Edwin Blackwelder; son, Fred Wayne Blackwelder; granddaughter, April Kimrey; sisters, Minnie Drye, Nellie Drye, Doris Mullis, Pauline Virginia Morgan, Faye Smith, Leola Love; and brothers, Fred Love, Jr. and Jessie Love.

Beatrice was a loving and kind soul. She adored spending time with her family and loved ones. In her free time she would be found doing word search puzzles and relaxing at her home. Beatrice was a devoted member of Kinza Memorial Baptist and deeply loved her church family. Her love for God was evident in her life in which she never wavered. Beatrice absolutely loved her dog Molly. Molly was her special companion and a wonderful extension to the family. Beatrice spent many days caring for others and ensured that the ones around her felt loved. Beatrice will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Monday, June 22, 2026, at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am followed by burial in the church cemetery at 4311 Love Mill Road, Stanfield.

Survivors include daughters, Mary Sue Kimrey of Stanfield, NC, Brenda (Linn) Reeder of Concord, NC, Belinda Eudy of Albemarle, NC, and Kay Burnette; grandchildren, Kayla Kimrey, Steven (Elaine) Burnette, Richard Burnette, Steve (Amanda) Eudy, Amy (Tim) Ross; brother, Jim Love; eleven great-grands and nine great-great-grands.
