Barbara Strickland

Barbara Sue Loveless Strickland, 74 years of age, of Concord, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Barbara was born September 26, 1941 in Elizabethton, Tennessee to the late David Eugene and Addie Marie Loveless.
She was also preceded in death by husband, James Avery Strickland, brother Jack Loveless and sister Linda Carter.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Coldwater Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 3:00 pm at Coldwater Baptist Church in Concord officiated by Rev. Jim Posey . Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens, 3892 Hwy 73, Concord.
Survivors include daughter, Sandra Strickland Csanyi and husband Les of Salisbury, NC, daughter, Deborah Strickland Smith and husband Phil of Holly Springs, NC, son, Michael Avery Strickland and wife Diana of Kannapolis, NC. Five grandchildren, Jeffrey Berrier and wife Tara, Kimberly Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Alison Strickland and Emily Strickland. Three brothers Joe Loveless, Jim Loveless and Richard Loveless. Four sisters, Betty White, Brenda Pike, Patsy Sparks and Judy Hughes.
Barbara retired from the Cabarrus County School system after 27 years of service as Cafeteria Manager at several elementary schools. She was a member of Coldwater Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class. Barbara graduated from Happy Valley High School in Johnson City, Tennessee.
