Barbara Lowe

Barbara Jean Leonard Lowe, 92, of Mint Hill, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill.

Barbara was born April 22, 1928 in Miami, Florida, to the late John Francis Leonard and the late Pauline Margaret Wade Leonard.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mahlon 'Bud' H. Lowe; brother, Fred Leonard; and sister, Gwendolyn L. Sheets.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.  She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include son, James C. (Janet) Chastain, III; son, David L. (Cindy) Chastain; daughter, Rebecca (Luis) C. Velasco; grandchildren, Michelle C. Ryan, Je'Nen Chastain, Matthew Chastain, John Chastain, Lauren C. Wilson, Joshua Grindstaff, Alisha G. Miller, and Jared Grindstaff; great-grandchildren, Hanne Mancil, Jack Mancil, and Miles Feagin; brother, Kenneth Leonard; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Rd, Charlotte, officiated by Rev. Bob Lee.
