Barbara Herrin

Mrs. Jacille Cranford Herrin, 77, of Mount Pleasant, passed away quietly at her home, on Monday, September 2, 2013 surrounded by her family. Jacille was Owner and President of Ritchie Construction Co., Inc. since 1991. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle, Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Ervin Houser will be held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Mrs. Herrin will lie in state one half hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was born in Cabarrus County on May 29, 1936 to Adam and Mae Cranford. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Mary Lou Ridenhour, James Alexander, Carl, Dwight, Harold, Wade and Bonnie Herrin and Joe Cranford. She is survived by her brother, Parks Cranford and wife, Betty. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry Herrin; son, Dennis Herrin and wife, Ryan; daughter, Robin Safrit and husband, Charles; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Kate, Grant and Cole Herrin. In addition to her immediate family she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Herrin graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1954. She was avid in sports and voted "Cutest and Most Dependable" by her classmates which carried throughout her life. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Herrin family.
