Audrey Ann Roman (Cobb), 97, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and a family who will carry her in their hearts forever.

Born on November 21, 1928, Audrey lived a long and meaningful life devoted to her family and to the things that brought her joy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Carl John Roman; and her two sons, Carl Allen Roman and Douglas Warren Roman.

She is survived by her son, Dale Colin Roman, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward and cherish the love, stories, and family traditions she left behind.

Audrey found beauty and joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an excellent seamstress who created beautiful things with patience and skill. She loved gardening and took great pleasure in watching plants grow and flourish. She was also a wonderful cook who loved preparing meals for the people she cared about. Audrey enjoyed hosting dinners and bringing family and friends together around her table. She collected and treasured many recipes, and the dishes she prepared became part of the memories and traditions her family will carry with them.

One of Audrey’s greatest gifts to her family was her love of genealogy. She spent countless hours researching her family tree, tracing names, stories, and connections across generations. Her genuine curiosity about those who came before her was matched by her desire to ensure that their stories would not be forgotten. Through her research, Audrey became a keeper of her family’s history and created a lasting legacy that will continue to connect generations.

Audrey experienced both the joys of a long life and the deep sorrow of losing loved ones before her. Through it all, her family remained at the center of her life. She leaves behind a legacy that is more than names and dates on a family tree. She leaves the love she gave, the memories she created, the meals she shared, the recipes she passed down, and the family bonds she helped preserve.

Her grandchildren will remember her not only for the beautiful things she made, the garden she tended, and the food she lovingly prepared, but also for the special place she held in their family and in their lives. Though she is no longer with them, her story, traditions, and influence will continue through every generation she helped connect.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Liberty Hospice for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided to Audrey and her family during her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Liberty Hospice in Audrey’s memory, so that others and their families may receive the same loving care and comfort.

Audrey Ann Roman (Cobb) will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by the family she loved so dearly. Her life lives on in the family she nurtured, the traditions she created, the stories she preserved, and the love she shared so generously.

May she rest peacefully, reunited with her beloved husband, Carl John Roman, and her sons, Carl Allen Roman and Douglas Warren Roman.
