Arthur "Bud" Purcell

Arthur James Purcell, 95, of Concord, passed away peacefully at home.

Bud was born in 1930, in New Jersey to the late Charles and Mildred Purcell. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Corita Purcell; and sons, Arthur James Purcell Jr. and Dean Purcell; and all of his siblings.

Bud retired as Master Sergeant with honors in the United States Army. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and DAV. Bud also retired as a purchasing manager after 20 years of service with Wikoff Color Corporation.

Survivors include daughter, Caroline Purcell; son, Charles Purcell; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Purcell; and grandchildren, Tucker and Lillie.

A private committal service with military honors was held at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
