Annie Lee McAnulty, 90, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Mrs. McAnulty was born October 17, 1934, in Concord. Annie was the daughter of the late Howard Medlin and Eliza Eury Medlin. She is also preceded in death by Husband George McAnulty, Terry Medlin, Iris Farmer, Vernie Mae Holder, and Dixie Kay Garmon.

Annie was a member of the Cabarrus County Saddle Club and Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She briefly worked in the hosiery mill and Bethel School Cafeteria. Annie spent most of her time caring for her family as a homemaker. Annie had the hobbies of sewing, canning, square dancing, cooking, and traveling. Anyone that knew Annie knew that she had a passion for talking.

Annie is survived by her two sons, Sherrill McAnulty and Dale McAnulty of Concord; two siblings, Jane McAnulty and Bill Medlin. Annie had 4 grandchildren, Tammie Turbeville, Stephen McAnulty of South Carolina, Felicia McAnulty and Jeremy McAnulty of Concord. She had 8 great-grandchildren, Taylor Helton, Kassie Huneycutt, Olivia Simmons, Chandler McAnulty, Kelby McAnulty, Lacie Hill, Lillian Brooks and Melanie Brooks.

Mrs. McAnulty’s family was her world that she loved very deeply. There was nothing that made her happier than seeing her grandchildren come through the door. Annie was expecting a great-great grandson and a great-great granddaughter, whom she was very excited to meet this Fall.

Annie passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family.

Annie McAnulty will lie in state at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Concord from 2:00pm – 2:30pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm officiated by Pastor Brandon Gray. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery at 5340 Flowes Store Rd, Concord.
