Annie Hinson

Annie Irene "MaMaw" Rector Hinson, 87 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.

Irene was born January 29, 1928 in Asheville to the late Carl Rector, Sr. and the late Annie Jackson Rector Kolb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Carter Hinson in 1998; brother, Carl Rector, Jr.; and sister, Mamie Wood.

The graveside service, officiated by Rev. Don Crusenberry and Rev. Robbie McLaughlin, will be at 11am on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5400 Monroe Rd. in Charlotte.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Edwards and husband Marshall of Stanfield, and Ellen Faulkner and husband Scott of Concord; grandchildren, Katie Poole and husband Alex of Gastonia, Lauren Mosher and husband Marshall of England, Leslie Edwards, Jennifer and her wife Sarah Faulkner of Concord, Michelle Puckett and husband Jack of Concord, Haley Faulkner of Concord, Jamie Beck of WV and seven great-grandchildren.

Irene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed going shopping and dining at her favorite restaurants. She retired from Herff Jones, formerly Delmar Studios, after many years of service.

The family would like to thank the staff of Stanly Manor for their loving and compassionate care for the last two years.
