Anna was born May 14, 1987 in North Carolina to Gary Hartsell and Janet Hartsell.
Anna was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Roy Taylor, maternal grandparents, Mr & Mrs James A. Helms, paternal grandparent, Fetzer Hartsell (PopPaw) and uncle, Rusty Hartsell.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 am at Oakboro United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Gene Moore. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery located at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.
Anna was a courageous and loving daughter, and sister. Anna has fought many battles with cancer throughout her life, which only strengthened her faith in God. Anna had a joyous spirit and was a gift to all who knew her. Before leaving this world to be with her Lord, she authored a book titled "Faith Based Short Stories". Some of Anna's hobbies included traveling, cross stitching, reading, hiking and taking care of her animals which stayed by her side. But her most cherished moments were the times she spent with her family.
Survivors include mother, Janet Hartsell; father, Gary Hartsell; sister Taylor (Rufus) Lefler; nephews, Rufus and Luke Lefler; and niece, Caroline Lefler; grandmother, Betty Hartsell; aunts, Beth Adkins, Karen Hartsell, Kelly Helms, Karen Tinsley, Norma Nehf, and Rae Anne (Roy) Thomas; uncles, Jim (Shirley) Helms, Alan (Suzanne) Helms and Robert Helms. And many beloved cousins.
