Amnaris Miller

Amnaris Sue Faggart Miller, 81, of Kannapolis, passed away at the Catawba Valley Hospice House on Monday, May 26, 2025.

Amnaris was born at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital on June 25, 1943 to the late Kenneth Malcom Faggart and Edith Martha Bost Faggart. She was the youngest of 9 children. Her siblings also preceded her in death.

Amnaris went by "Am." She graduated from Bethel High School in 1961. She started her first job at Medical Center Pharmacy in Concord on the same day as her future husband of 61 wonderful years. She then worked for Cabarrus County Schools in their Head Start program for 20 years. She made such an impact on many children of Cabarrus County and often kept in touch with them as they grew. Am was a lifelong member of Coldwater Baptist Church. She loved church history. She was also the keeper of the family genealogy and history.

She is survived by her loving husband James "Jim" Miller; her daughter, Amy Patterson, and husband, Doug; and one grandson, Jacob Patterson, who was the light of her life.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm, Friday, May 30, 2025, at Coldwater Baptist Church, 1045 Union Street S, Concord. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Jim Posey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
