Alvin Burleson

Alvin Eugene Burleson, 81 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at his home in Albemarle. Alvin was born May 7, 1932 in Stanly County to the late Clarence Adam Burleson and the late Dortha Burleson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Jay Belk will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 27, 2013 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Albemarle with a 30 minute state prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Stanly County DAV Chapter 12. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Louise Lambert Burleson of Albemarle; sons Perry Burleson and wife, Ruth, Terry Burleson and wife, Donna, Alan Burleson and wife, Viola; one daughter, Barbara O'Brien and husband, Terry; one sister, Mildred Burris of VA; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
