Wayne Eury

Wayne Nathan Eury, 70, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Eury was born December 31, 1948 in Stanly County to the late Joe Eury, Jr and the late Dorothy Eury. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Ann Eury; a daughter, Janice Ann Eury; and a brother, James Eury.

Wayne was a veteran of the US Army and the Army National Guard.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM, Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Cottonville Baptist Church, 4888 Plank Road, Norwood. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 4:00 PM officiated by Rev. Alex Willoughby. Burial will be at Salisbury National Cemetery on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 9:00am

Survivors include daughter, Linda Morris and husband Jody of Albemarle; step daughter, Rebekah Dery and husband Joe of Albemarle; step son, Marty Dennis of Oakboro; sister, Mary Kay and husband Larry of Greensboro; brothers, Danny Eury and Teresa of Norwood, Gary Eury and wife Debbie of Salisbury, Terry Eury and wife Sherry of Norwood; sister, Tammy Hathcock and husband, Ricky of Albemarle; seven grandchildren; many great grand children; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St Jude Children's Hospital.
