Robert (Bud) Julius Mceachern, Jr.

Robert (Bud) Julius McEachern, Jr., 87, of Midland, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

Bud was born on February 12, 1932, in Midland, NC to the late Robert J. McEachern, Sr., and the late Sudie Brown McEachern.  He was also predeceased by his sisters Helen M. Little and Katy M. Jeffers.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Norma Hollifield McEachern, of the home;  son Neil McEachern (Cindy) and daughter Holli M. Burgess (Roger), all of Midland.  Grandchildren:   James H. Weathers, III, (Ashley), Tampa, FL.;  Richard Weathers (Holly), Concord, NC;  Jacob McEachern (Victoria), Oakboro, NC;  Andrew McEachern, Harrisburg, NC;  Amy M. McLaurin (Aaron), Locust, NC;  Caleb McEachern and Brittany Griffin, Concord, NC.  Great-grandchildren:  Rori McEachern, Aiden, Mackenzie, Logan and Chloe Weathers; Jeffrey and Matthew Fortune, and Grace McLaurin.  Also surviving are his sister Betty M. Nunn, Charlotte, NC;  nephew Eric Nunn, Jacksonville, FL, and niece Kristen N. Wright (Richard), Charlotte, NC.

Bud was a graduate of Bethel High School, Midland, NC, Class of 1950.  He served in the US Army in Korea, 1952-1954;  US Army Reserve until 1960.
He was employed with The Henry Walke Co. of Norfolk, VA, as Charlotte Branch Manager and later with Morse Cutting Tools of New Bedford, MA, as Charlotte Distribution Center Manager and Sales Representative.

He was a lifetime member of Bethel United Methodist Church, member of Union Lodge #618, AF&AM;  Scottish Rite; and The American Legion, Post #433.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, NC.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. Mark Clontz will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bethel UMC.  Committal services will take place in the church cemetery with military honors and Masonic Rites.
