Norene "Beanie" Whitley

Norene "Beanie" Varner Whitley, 85, of New London, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Mrs. Whitley was born November 30, 1933 in Davidson County to the late Harvey Grant Varner and the late Ruth Skeen Varner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Carol Whitley, four brothers and two sisters.

Beanie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being with her family and being the matriarch.

A private graveside service will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church.

Survivors include son, Steve Whitley; granddaughter, Anna Russell; grandson, Brandon (Carmen) Whitley;  great-granddaughter, Alayna Russell all of New London.
