Nancy Tucker

Nancy Kathleen Tucker, 90 of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday morning March 7, 2018 with her family by her side.

She is survived by her husband of over 72 years, Morgan Tucker; two daughters, Phyllis Hatley and husband Clay from Raleigh; Gail Dawkins and husband Earl, from Weddington; four grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Born Oct 20, 1927 in Union County, NC, Kathleen loved gardening and cooking and was a charter member of East Baptist Church where she helped cook Wednesday night Prayer Service dinners for many years. She was an expert seamstress and made clothes for family members over the years including her daughters' wedding and bridal party gowns. Never raising her voice, she was sweet and kind to everyone and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 on Saturday, March 10, 2018 with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 at East Baptist Church, 6850 Monroe Rd. Charlotte. Concluded with burial service in Sharon Memorial Park.

Donations may be made on behalf of Ms Tucker to East Baptist Church.
