Myrtle Mullis
March 1, 1922 — January 8, 2018
Myrtle "Dale" Rushing Mullis, 95 years of age, of Monroe, NC passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at home with her family by her side.
Dale was born March 1, 1922 in Union County, to the late William Green Rushing and the late Mary Roseanah Love Rushing.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Nolen Mullis; her brothers Oscar, Conley, Boyce, Onice, and Bill Rushing; her sisters Lelia Williams, Lois Little and Rachel Kiker.
Survivors include her daughter Juanita McClain and husband Donnie; son Gary Mullis and wife Cynthia; grandchildren Chad McClain and wife Dawn; Sean McClain and wife Lisa; Clint McClain; Wendi Mullis; Kara Keith and husband Tony; Mary Mullis and husband Ralph Verderamo; Kristy Mullis; and Dolores McClain; great grandsons Dustin McClain and wife Stephanie; Casey McClain; Dillon McClain; Tyler McClain; Evan Keith; Cooper McClain; Nolen Mullis; Mason Keith; Jay Ashley and Logan Verderamo; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 10 at 11:00am at Shiloh Advent Christian Church in Monroe, officiated by Rev. Travis Hutcheson, with a 30 minute state starting at 10:30am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
