Larry Kiser

Larry David Kiser, Sr., 79, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.

Mr. Kiser was born August 8, 1939 in Concord, NC to the late Roy Kiser and the late Pauline Kiser Porter.
He was also preceded in death by wife of 53 years, Joan Kiser; son Kevin Lee Kiser; brother Robert Kiser; and step father Dub Porter.

Survivors include sons, Larry David Kiser, Jr. and wife Tammi of Harrisburg; John Raymond Kiser and wife Linda of Indian Trail; grandchildren Christopher Kiser of Indian Trail, and Brittany Fanella and husband Tony of Locust; great grandchildren Kynli and Easton Fanella; sister Phyllis Andrews and husband Gene of Concord; sister in law Brenda Kiser of Concord; brother in law Andy Mullis and wife Pam of Harrisburg; and son in law Joe Brown Kiser.

Larry was a graduate of Concord High School. He retired from Aramark after 30 years of employment.  Larry was a Harrisburg volunteer firefighter and a lifelong Teamster.  He was a member of the Harrisburg Lions Club, and was involved in helping many local charities.  Larry's favorite thing was the annual fishing trip to the Outer Banks with a group of blind individuals.  He was one of the founding families of Providence Baptist Church.  Larry will be truly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 23rd at 2:00 pm, Providence Baptist Church, 5315 Hwy. 49 S. in Harrisburg, officiated by Rev. Rody Carland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harrisburg Lions Club, 507 Patricia Ave, Harrisburg, NC 28075.
