Joseph Cox

Joseph Andrew Cox, 33, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

Joseph was born May 29, 1985 in Concord to Bobby and Leslie Cox.  He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Mildred Cox; and maternal grandfather, Bobby Furr.

He was a graduate from UNC-Charlotte and a sales associate at Olly's. Joseph loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an avid sports fan. Some of his favorite sports were football and the Oakland Raiders, baseball and Mixed Martial Arts. Joseph dearly loved his entire family and was always willing to help others. His family always knew they could count on him.  Joseph was a loving son and grandson.  He will be forever loved and dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, those left to treasure Joseph's life include his paternal grandmother, Anne Edwards, and her husband, Ron Weber; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, January 11, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Rev. Thad Brown.  Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery, Concord.
