James Russell Patterson, 92 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.
Mr. Patterson was born March 18, 1925 in Lee County to the late Archie Patterson and Minnie Lemon Patterson . He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lorene Walters Patterson.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. A graveside service will be on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Norview Gardens Cemetery, 949 Pee Dee Avenue in Norwood officiated by Chaplain Jeane Torrence.
Survivors include sons, Daniel Russell Patterson of Albemarle, Tommy Patterson and daughter-in-law Kay Patterson of Norwood, and Timothy Patterson of Asheville; daughter, Patricia Patterson of Albemarle; grandchildren, Jeff Patterson and Jamie Patterson; and great grandchildren, Ryan and Kaylin Patterson.
