Harold Poplin

Harold  Ray Poplin, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at Spring Arbor of Albemarle.

Mr. Poplin was born June 3, 1930 in Stanly County to the late Pearson Jones Poplin and the late Hattie Jenkins Poplin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Poplin; sister, Lois Simpson and brother, Claude Poplin.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Friday, June 22, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Lowell Brown. Burial will be held at the Aquadale Baptist Church Cemetery at 32871 Church Rd, Norwood.

Survivors include daughter, Cathy Hatley and husband Joel; grandchildren, Timothy Hatley and wife Nancy, Michael Hatley and wife Jill, great-grandchildren, Jonah Hatley, Peyton Hatley, Kolby Hatley and Ethan Hatley all of Albemarle.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County and the Uwharrie, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001or Bethlehem Baptist Church, 32283 Bethlehem Church Road, Norwood, NC 28128.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caregivers at the Cottage at Spring Arbor for their loving care of Harold.
