Gary Phillips

Gary Duke Phillips, 85, of Badin, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Mr. Phillips was born July 12, 1933 to the late Clifford Duke and Janie Pope Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Phillips

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 1:00 pm, located at Sweet Home Baptist Church, 28873 Sweet Home Church Rd, Albemarle, officiated by Rev. Preston Young. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

Gary is survived by sons, Jim (Anna) Phillips, Rodney (Donna) Phillips, Mike (Mitzi) Phillips; grandchildren, Emily (Brett) Gales, Johnathan Phillips, Jacob Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Michelle (Justin) Wellmon, Brian (Tera) Phillips, Kenny Phillips; six great-grandchildren.
