Freida Almond

Freida Deas Almond, 77, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Almond was born September 13, 1942 in Cabarrus County to the late Jennings Theodore Deas and the late Arlene Taylor Deas. She was also preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Dale Almond; four sisters and one brother.

Freida loved her family, especially her grandsons, and enjoyed cooking, reading and working in the garden.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11:00AM at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 22182 Canton Rd., Albemarle officiated by Rev. David Wilson.

Survivors include husband, William "Bill" Almond of Albemarle; daughter, Shannon Tucker and husband Bennett; grandchildren, Bennett Jr and his wife Allison, and Dillon, sisters, Saundra Smith, Bonita Bloodworth and husband Robert; brother, Richard Deas and wife June.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County and the Uwharrie, 960 N.First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
