Eric Stirushnik

Eric "Jake" Stirushnik, 27 years of age, of Locust, NC passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis with his loving parents by his side.

Jake was born June 26, 1990 in Oswego, New York to Eric Mark Stirushnik and Lori Ann Stirushnik.

In addition to his parents Eric and Lori, he is also survived by his sister Sarah Saunders and her husband Adam, and their children Mia Ann and Emma Rose; his grandmother Carol Weigand; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jake's capacity to love and care for others was by far his greatest attribute.  The level of his genuine concern for his family and friends was amazing.  He was always giving help to those in need, even people he didn't know.

When thinking of Jake, first thoughts are of his huge hugs and his big grin.  All who knew him would agree he had a "heart of gold".  He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.
