Eric Laidlaw

Eric Leon Laidlaw, 60, of Concord, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 5, 2019 in Shallotte, NC.

Eric was born March 17, 1959 in Concord, NC, to Jim Laidlaw and Evelyn D. Laidlaw.
He was preceded in death by his father Jim and his brother Mike Ritchie.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Jeanie Starnes Laidlaw of the home; his mother, Evelyn Laidlaw; his twin brother Aaron Laidlaw and wife Diane; mother-in-law Shirley Kiser and father-in-law Bill Hill; brother-in-law Keith Hill and wife Amy; brother-in-law Kell Hill and wife Lynn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eric dearly loved his family.  He enjoyed fixing old cars and working on projects around the beach house.  His favorite place was at Holden Beach looking for sea shells.  Eric will be dearly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm, Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Stephen Burrow and JR Drake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Missionary Baptist Church, 199 Elgin Drive NE, Concord, NC 28025.
