Dorothy "Dottie" Fitzgerald

Dorothy "Momma Dot" Davis Fitzgerald, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at home with family by her side.

Dottie was born in Jefferson, SC, to the late Arthur and Cleo Rollins Davis.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Derrick Fitzgerald.

Momma Dot really enjoyed chaperoning the NW Cabarrus Trojan Regiment Marching Band in the late '90s.  She served as treasurer for Boy Scout Troop #38, Concord.  Momma Dot enjoyed her 3 C's; cruising, camping and casinos.  Dottie was a loving wife and mother.  She was dearly loved and her sunny personality will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include beloved husband of 46 years, Frank Fitzgerald of the home; son, Davis Fitzgerald and wife, Vicky, of Jupiter, FL; and grandchildren, Bella and Harrison.

The family will receive friends, Friday, February 8, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  A graveside service to celebrate Dottie's life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Jefferson Town Cemetery, Jefferson, SC.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.
