Dennis Moore

Dennis Joe Moore, 58, of New Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, after a period of declining health, at Carolinas HealthCare System Union, Monroe.

Joe was born April 3, 1960 in Monroe to the late Earl Lee Moore and the late Betty Ruth Chaney Moore.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Doug Moore.

Joe lived in the New Salem area his whole life.  He enjoyed being a truck driver and loved horseback riding.

Joe remained close to his former wife, Brenda Evans Moore of Matthews; and her daughters, Erika (Matt) Ferguson and Lynn (Jamey) Strickland.  Others close to Joe's heart include his New Salem friends, Dale and Patty Hinson and Dennis and Edith Baucom.

Joe's "Celebration of Life" service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland, officiated by Rev. Terry Smith.  The family will receive friends following the service.
