Darlene J. Burnette, 76 years of age, of Midland, NC, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at home.
Darlene was born June 20, 1941 in North Carolina to the late Tom Adam Johnson and the late Zula Johnson.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Edward "Buck" Burnette.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, Monday, January 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Midland. The funeral service will follow on Monday at 3:00 pm at the church officiated by Rev. Tom Gibbs. Burial will follow at the church cemetery at 4720 Garmon Mill Rd., Midland.
Survivors include son, Allen Burnette of Midland; daughter, Dawn Bunn of Midland; granddaughters, Lauren and Lindsey Tucker; grandsons, Aaron and Matthew Burnette; and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 4720 Garmon Mill Rd., Midland, NC 28107.
