Catherine Johnson

Catherine Marie Johnson, 69 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Harrisburg.

Catherine was born August 29, 1948 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Wesley Norman Johnson and Evelyn Anne Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Johnson Jr.

Catherine was raised in Niles, Michigan, moving, after attending college, to Florida, Texas and residing her last 20 years in Charlotte, NC. She worked for the University of North Carolina of Charlotte, retiring from UNCC library in 2016. She touched the lives of many students and friends with her generous spirit and passion for her work.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC 28075 officiated by Rev. Ray Helms.

Survivors include mother, Evelyn Anne Johnson and sisters, Candace (Ed) Loveland of Waxahachie, TX; and Margaret Johnson of Charlotte, NC; nieces, Karen (David) Wright and Rebecca (Tim) Coman.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg is serving the Johnson family.
