Carlos Sanchez

Carlos M. Sanchez, 43, died Saturday, January 13, 2018, in the peaceful comfort of family as he slept during the early evening hours.

Carlos was born March 05, 1974, in New York City, New York. After his teenage years growing up in the Manhattan borough of New York City, he relocated to Juncos, Puerto Rico where he lived the majority of his life until late last year. He relocated to Concord, North Carolina in December 2017 to start anew near immediate family after the devastation brought to Puerto Rico by both hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Carlos was a peaceful soul who found enjoyment in the subtleties of life often taken for granted. He lived his life going with the natural flow of things, taking moments throughout his day to appreciate heartfelt smiles, a sip of the morning coffee brew, and peaceful moments sitting out back taking in the pure beauty of nature. He never asked for much even in the face of tremendous hardship, yet found fulfillment in those that loved him. Carlos patterned his life after Christ and was a true champion for others.

Carlos is survived by his mother, Nilda Rivera; his brother, Jose Sanchez; his sister, Nilda Hickman; two nieces, Jordan Rector and Emme Sanchez; two nephews, Tristan and Marcus Sanchez; and, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
