Armando Castañeda

Armando Castañeda of Concord, NC passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018. He was born in Havana, Cuba on October 28, 1965.

Armando is survived by his wife, Millie and sons, Armando and Javier, mother Acelia, siblings Fernando, Teresa, Wilma, Blanca, Consuelo and Isabel, brothers-in-law, 12 nieces and nephews and 2 great nieces. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, umpire, coach and mentor. Armando was a lot to many people. Also armed with amazing hugs and a words of advice whether you wanted to hear it or not.

Mandy’s love and devotion to his wife and sons was unconditional. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed. He will always be remembered for his laugh, his ‘tender’ approach, and his unconditional dedication to his friends and above all, his family.

The family will receive friends from 4 - 8 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC  28075. The funeral service will be on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church - Charlotte.
