Christopher Michael Bravo, 35, of Matthews, NC, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC with his parents by his side.

Chris was born January 17, 1988, in Elmira, NY, to James Mark Bravo and Roxanne Marie Hmiel Bravo. In addition to his parents, Chris is also survived by his sister, Melissa (Brian) Moore; nephew, Miles Moore; niece, Reese Moore; dear friends, Chris and Kayla D'Allura and their children, Michael, Christopher, and Daniel (who lovingly called Chris "Uncle Bravo"); and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duane and Marjorie Bravo and Thomas and Marion Hmiel; and cousin, Brian Bravo.

Chris was a 2006 honors graduate of Elmira Free Academy.  Chris studied music business at The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam (2010) and saxophone performance at UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC, where he earned his master's degree (2012).  Chris was the retail manager of the Music & Arts store in Concord, NC.  Chris was an avid NY Yankees fan and NASCAR fan.  He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, and never missed the opportunity to celebrate holidays and special occasions with the D’Alluras’.  Chris will be remembered for his dead-pan sense of humor, and quiet and gentle demeanor.  He was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed and forever loved.

A Memorial Mass in Celebration of Chris' Life will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at St. James The Greater Catholic Church, 139 Manor Ave SW, Concord, NC, officiated by Fr. Jerome Chavarria.  A webcast will be available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUIe4i7jinY Please join us after the service for a reception at the church.  A second memorial service will be held at a later date in Elmira, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Arctic League (PO Box 113; Elmira, NY 14901) or Thursday Morning Musicales Scholarship Fund (153 Woodlawn Ave.; Elmira, NY 14901) (Chris was a 2006 recipient).
